Vivo V20 2021 Device Overview:

The Vivo V20 2021 features a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, which is quite an old processor built on an 8nm manufacturing process. It is an octa-core processor with two Kryo 470 Gold cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Kryo 470 Silver cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out of the box with Funtouch 11 skin on top of it.

For optics, we get a triple camera setup at the rear and a single camera at the front. The rear setup consists of a 64MP primary sensor paired with an f/1.9 lens, an 8MP ultrawide sensor paired with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens. Coming to the front, we have the USP of the device, a 44MP sensor paired with an f/2.0 lens. Both the front and rear setup is capable of 4K video recording.

Coming to storage options, we only get one with this device with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated slot for storage expansion via a MicroSD card, though. In terms of communications, we have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, FM radio, and USB Type-C 2.0. For sensors, we get an under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Powering all of it is a 4000 mAh battery that is capable of 33W fast charging. This smartphone is available in three color options: Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz, and Moonlight Sonata. The phone sells for a compelling price of ₹ 24,990.

At the same time, the dynamic theme with the wallpapers is more expressive as per your mood. The notification shade, lock screen, notifications, glance screen, volume controls, quick shortcut tiles, new power menu, transitions or animations, etc., everything looks & feels great whatsoever with the ‘Material You’ design.

Meanwhile, the impressive Privacy Dashboard feature and the privacy indicator on the top of the screen is also great. Whereas scrolling screenshot support, improved notifications, quick reply feature, on-device search feature, easy Wi-Fi sharing, one-handed mode, quick back tap feature, haptic-coupled audio effect, Android 12 updates via Google Play, App hibernation, all-new emojis, improved auto-rotate, and a lot more.

Updated on June 30, 2022: Today, Vivo rolled out their first Funtouch OS 12 update to global users with software version PD2067F_EX_A_6.70.62. The update comes with April / May 2022 security patch.

Steps to Install Android 12 on Vivo V20 2021

Before we get straight to the steps to flash the Funtouch OS 12 update based on Android 12 on your Vivo V20 2021, let us look at the prerequisites first.

Pre-Requirements:

Supported device: Vivo V20 2021 PD2067F
Make sure to charge your device more than 50%
You need a PC or Laptop with a USB cable.
Take a complete backup using any method given below

Place the MSM download tool and firmware in the same folder
Open the MSM download tool and connect your device to a PC/Laptop
Once you connect, it will automatically load the firmware; if not, select it manually.
Click on the start button and wait patiently to complete the installation process.
Once it is done! remove your device from your PC. That’s it!
