The South-Korean tech-giant Samsung is known for providing quality smartphones. Previously, Galaxy S6 was the last Galaxy device which was launched with the Exynos chip in the US. At that time, Galaxy S6 US carrier model bootloader can be unlocked. If you’re using the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G model with Sprint carrier, there is good news for you. Now, you can Unlock Bootloader on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S10 5G series easily.
The unlocked bootloader feature offers developers to build some third-party Custom ROMs compatible with the device. But after a year, when the Galaxy S7 launched in the US, Samsung reverted back to the Qualcomm chipsets. It doesn’t allow bootloader unlocking in Samsung Galaxy devices till now.
Unlock Bootloader on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S10 5G series
Huge thanks to one of the XDA Recognized Developer or Retired Forum Moderator elliwigy, for sharing the news that Sprint’s 5G Galaxy S10 bootloader can be unlocked now. That developer has tested in a Sprint store on a Galaxy S10 5G demo model to unlock it. He was simply able to enable the OEM Unlock option in settings > Developer Options without any extra settings or issues. So, it’s good news for all the Sprint carrier-based Galaxy S10 5G model users.
However, it’s quite unfortunate that other Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e regular models are still can’t be unlocked the bootloader easily. By unlocking a device bootloader, users can install any Custom ROM, enable root access, and more.
