Samsung Galaxy A02 Device Overview:
This budget smartphone from Samsung features a 6.5 inch TFT panel with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. In terms of processing power, we get the entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 which will be able to handle the day-to-day tasks if you are not a heavy user. As per the reports so far, we are only aware of a single storage and ram variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
As per the leaks, we get a triple camera setup at the back with a single front camera in a notch. The rear setup features a13 MP primary sensor with autofocus, a 2 MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The depth and macro sensors are just added to the back without much functionality to market the smartphone as a triple-lens rear camera setup smartphone. You can only capture 1080p videos at 30fps with the rear camera. For the front, we get a single 5MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens.
In terms of connectivity, we will get WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio, and MicroUSB. Nothing specific about the versions of connectivity is yet known as the smartphone is not even launched yet. But even in the budget segment, Samsung does get the basics of a phone right, and the A02 will be no different. Powering all this is a massive 5,000 mAh battery that will support 15W fast charging. Whether or not we will get the adapter included in the box, is not yet known. As for the expected price and release of the Galaxy A02, there are speculations about this device launching in December 2020 or the first quarter of 2021 at the cost of around 9,000 INR.
