Updated on July 22, 2020: So, it seems that the company has increased the ColorOS 7 early adopters program for the Oppo R15 and Oppo R15x model. The recruitment channel opening time was July 21, 2020, and the number of early adopters has been increased to 10,000 along with Oppo K1 early adopters.
The Oppo R15x device should run on the C.62 version in order to receive the early adopters’ update within 3 days after the successful recruitment process. So, please be patient as more early adopters’ limits will be increased in the next batch. You can read more here.
Updated on July 11, 2020: Finally, the Android 10 official stable update is available for the Oppo R15 model on the top of ColorOS 7. Currently, the update is live for the Chinese and Australian variants and rolling out in a gradual way. Therefore, the OTA update may take a while to hit all the units globally. Users are requested to check for the OTA update manually on their device.
The much-awaited stable ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10 has arrived with the firmware version CPH1819EX_11.F.12 for the R15 model. Oppo has confirmed that the handset should be running on the C.16\C.17 version in order to receive the OTA update notification. Updated on July 1, 2020: The first batch of ColorOS 7 Beta update based on Android 10 is already available in China right now. Meanwhile, the ColorOS 7 stable firmware update for the Oppo R15 model will be rolled out on July 10, 2020. Updated on June 14, 2020: Good news for all the Oppo R15 users as the company has finally released the ColorOS 7 early adopters program over the Android 10 update. The update is live in Australia and a total number of 5,000 people can be selected for the first quota. While the rest of the users can wait for the second quota.
The ColorOS 7 trial beta update will arrive in the software version F.08 expectedly. So, those who haven’t updated their device yet to the latest software version, make sure to upgrade it first in order to receive the beta update. All the interested users can manually apply for the early adopters’ program via the Settings > Software Updates > Tap on the settings icon in the upper right corner > Tap on Trial Version > Fill in the required information > Select the checkbox and tap on Apply Now.
Updated on June 9, 2020: Oppo has increased the early adopters’ recruitment quotas for the Oppo R15. The recruitment channel opens on June 9 at 10:00 and the number of early adopters will be 10,000 people. Keep in mind that your Oppo R15 device should run on the C.14/C.15 software version in order to become eligible to receive the beta update.
Head over to the device Settings > Software Update > Settings icon in the upper right corner > Upgrade early adopters > ColorOS 7 official version early adopters. Just fill in the required information. Then check the early adopters’ notice and privacy policy > Tap on Apply now’. All the successfully participated beta testers will receive the OTA update within 3 days. You can check out more details here.
Coming to the point, Oppo will start pushing ColorOS 7 + Android 10 Trial version from March to June (Q2 2020) and the Oppo R15 series device users will be able to apply for the early birds in June 2020. Once applied, the limited number of users will start receiving the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) beta update in batches.

Therefore, if in case, you will miss out on the first batch due to a limited number of users, you should wait for the second batch of updates and apply for it. Till then, stay tuned.
