Once the router is rebooted, connect your phone or computer to the WiFi network and check if the problem with Omegle is fixed. If the issue persists, you can try out other solutions that are mentioned below.
Solution 2: Check Omegle Server Status
After making sure that the internet connection is not the source of the problem, we need to check if there’s an issue with the Omegle servers. Unfortunately, there is no official way to check the current status of Omegle browsers. But, there are some third-party tools such as Down Detector that tell us whether other users are also experiencing any issues with the service.
On Down Detector, if you see that multiple people are having problems using Omegle, it’s likely that there’s something wrong on the Omegle end, not on your device or WiFi. In such a case, you can’t do anything. Just wait until the Omegle developers fix the issue. You can visit the website after an hour and check if the problem is fixed.
Solution 3: Clear Browser Cache
Nearly all websites (which you’ve accessed) store some temporary data in the form of cache. It is important for the website to load fast. But, if the cache file is outdated or corrupted, it can cause many problems. The website may fail to load or it can become unresponsive. You should clear the browser cache once in a while so that the websites can generate fresh copies and store them as cache. It can also make the computer fast.

Solution 4: Use a Different Browser
Many times we have observed that a website does not load on one browser, but works fine on another browser. It could be due to improper browser settings or some bugs. Try using Omegle on another browser and check if the problem is fixed. If your answer is Yes, Awesome! Otherwise, you need to apply a few more solutions.
Solution 5: Use a Reliable VPN
Most free VPNs out there are unreliable. Omegle can block such IP addresses and you won’t be able to make new friends on social networking platforms. You should use a reliable and safe VPN service like Nord VPN, Express VPN, CyberGhost, and Proton VPN. All these VPNs never store the logs or your internet activity. Plus, you get a range of locations with fast speed. Each time you connect to a VPN location, your device will be given a new IP address. It can help you if your IP has been blacklisted by Omegle.
Solution 6: Flush DNS and Reset Winsock
Flushing the DNS caches and resetting Winsock can help you fix the problem where you can’t access a particular website. This method resets your network configurations by releasing your current IP address and getting a new one.
On Windows PC:
- In the search box, type cmd.
- Right-click on the command prompt and select Run as administrator. If a dialogue box pops up, click on Yes to provide administrator permission.
- Run the following command one by one in the same order:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
After you have run all the commands, reboot your computer.
On Mac:
- Open Finder and navigate to the Go option.
- Select Utilities and click on Terminal.
- A pop-up screen will open, where you’ll run the following commands based on your macOS version:
- macOS Montetery version: sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
- macOS Big Sur 11.2.0: sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
- On macOS Catalina 10.15.0: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
- macOS Mojave 10.14.0: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
- macOS High Sierra 10.13.0: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
- macOS Sierra 10.12.0: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
