Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (codename: SM-P600) launched in the year 2013 and came out of the box with Android 4.3. In this tutorial, we will show you how to download and install Lineage OS 18.1 on Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (SM-P600) device. The Google-owned OS is open source in nature. This allows the userbase to try out tons of customizations and modifications onto your devices. For the starters, they could install themes, icon packs, and launchers from the Play Store. But this is just the beginning. There are a plethora of other tweaks that you could try out on your device.
All that is required is an unlocked bootloader, and then you could easily set your feet in the custom development. From installing a custom recovery like TWRP to gaining root access via Magisk, the possibilities are endless. Along the same lines, you could also try out a customized Android OS in the form of custom ROMs. And in this guide, we will be discussing just that. Today, we will show you the steps to install Lineage OS 18.1 onto your Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (SM-P600) based on Android 11.
Lineage OS 18.1 with Android 11 Features
Among all the custom ROMs available for our device, Lineage has been among the oldest player. In its early days, it was known as CyanogenMod and now this ‘lineage’ seems to have been rightly carried forward. Based on the Android Open Source Project, you will be able to welcome a few handy customization options to your device. The ROM isn’t known to offer a plethora of features, rather it maintains an equilibrium with the stability front.

I’m not the tech type guy to try to install a custom rom. I have a Samsung note which I love, I know it’s old with 5.0. I was thinking about how I could keep it well into the future as it’s really my go to tablet. I ran across a guy on Bonanza selling the same model but with Lineage installed boosting it to Android 10. So $98 bucks later I have one. Shipping was slow and he short changed me, I ordered a 32 gig and I got a 16. We’ll see how that comes out.
First impressions where that nothing worked. Mouse support, nothing, I tried 3 different brands. Pen works somewhat, palm rejection out the window too. Now I knew I would have to piddle with it some to get it correct. It basically was a $20 used tablet with the Samsung logo on it. But I wanted to check out Lineage. Now I could download and use every app I tried. Google assistant worked, about everything did. But I lost everything that made the Note a note… No personality at all. Gone were the large colorful icons. All the sounds, all the S pen functions, etc etc.
And its buggy at best. Will not shut down. I turn it off and a few minutes later it’s rebooting, mouse and palm rejection as mentioned doesn’t work,. Settings are not as complete as the old Note. Randomly reboots at anytime, 7 times in 2 hours… All this in just the evening that I got it. I doubt I have even scratched the surface.
