Try the next solution if the earbuds do not charge on other adapters.
Check the cable:
The cable you are using to charge the case also needs to be compatible with the case of the earbuds. If there is any physical damage evident on the cable, or if you have tried using only one cable for charging the case, try using other wires.
If the earbuds do not charge even on other cables, try the next solution.
Clean the case and the pins:
If the charging point and the pins in your case that charge your earbuds are dirty or there is any obstacle on them, your earbuds won’t charge no matter how much you try to charge them up. Get yourself a Q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol, and give the pins inside your case a good wipe.
Try the next solution if the earbuds do not charge even after this.
Factory reset:
Factory resetting the JBL Live 300 TWS is simple and will only take a few seconds. This will clear the earbud’s data, and any paired device will be eradicated from the list of connections. So go ahead with the factory reset only if you are okay with losing all the data.
- Open the case of your earbuds and take the right earbud out.
- Cover the sensors on the inside part of the earbud with one hand, and use the other hand to tap the back of the earbuds two times.
- After taping the earbuds two times, hold on to the touch and wait till the earbuds shut off completely. This will take somewhat close to 10 seconds.
- You will hear the disconnection sound of JBL when the process is complete.
Now try charging the buds in your case or your case and check whether it works. If it still does not work, try the next solution.
Update firmware:
Software or firmware bugs are shared among all devices, and the JBL earbuds are no exception. But JBL provides a way for you to update the earbuds using a phone, and here in this method, we will look into it. If the charging issue is acting up due to any bug, the firmware update should fix that for you.
- Download and install the JBL Headphones on your smartphone. You can find it both in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for download.
- Once you have downloaded the app, connect your JBL earbuds to that phone.
- Once the connection is established, open up the JBL headphones application on your phone. The application will show your earbuds on your screen.
- Tap on the earbuds inside the app, and you will see many new options on your screen.
- If there is any pending update available, you will see an orange button with a downward arrow icon on your app’s interface. Tap on that button.
- The application will start downloading the latest available firmware. Let the download be complete to 100%. Depending on your internet connection, this will take a few minutes or seconds.
- After the download is complete, the application will also automatically install the firmware.
- Once the installation is complete, your earbuds will restart and connect to your smartphone again.
Now try charging the buds in your case or your case and check whether it works. If it still does not work, try the next solution.
If none of the solutions mentioned above worked for you, the issue might be confirmed with the hardware of the case or the buds themselves. In such a scenario, your only solution is to take the earbuds to the nearest JBL service centre. If your earbuds are under warranty, you will get a replacement pair for your earbuds. If they are not under warranty, you will have to pay a certain sum of money, and they will resolve the charging issue for you.
