Switch off the phone
If airplane mode doesn’t help or it cannot think of toggling it in case if you aren’t aware of it, turning OFF the phone will prevent any further damage to the device. It takes just a few seconds for a user to turn off his/her phone and since the phone is turned off, it won’t require any power and thus, no more overheating. When you turn it off, remember to keep it idle for a couple of minutes until the temperature becomes normal. Once the temperature is normal, you can turn it on and use it.
Everything related to charging and charger
In case if you are a traveler or if you often forget your own phone charging when you go to your workplace, it is normal for such kind of users to take other’s charging to recharge the phone battery. Constantly changing chargers or USB cables can have an adverse effect on the phone since the voltage provided by these chargers might be different than your actual charger. Also, smartphone manufacturers recommend user to recharge their phones using originally provided chargers only which is important to curb such issues like overheating.
Take off all the removable’
This is another way around you can bring down the temperature of your phone right from critical to normal. There are users who have complained that their phone gets overheat even when being used by calling or messaging which are two basic tasks and usually require minimal processing and battery power. If you are one of them, it is possible that the cover or case that you have been using for your phone is the culprit. The fix for this problem is to take off the cover or case, remove the back panel and other removable’ such as SIM cards, memory cards, etc until the phone cools down. Once the phone is back to its normal temperature, you can assemble all the removable’ and change the cover/case to a more suitable option that doesn’t contribute to the overheating problem.
Everything related to Apps & Vernee overheating problem
Apps make things easier. Take creating a list of ‘to-do’ where you can employ a text-based or voice-based app to record all the things you need to do today. Similarly, there are thousands of other tasks you can do using an app such as shopping, investing, borrowing funds, earning, maintaining details of bank balances across different bank accounts and much more which makes an app very helpful but if you are going to rely on apps to do your tasks, you might be at fault.
The problem with apps is that they use a lot of user data and some even intrude user privacy and security. Some apps consume more battery power while some use more processing power such as high-graphic games or apps such as YouTube, Netflix, etc. When you use these apps, it uses resources including processing power, memory, battery power, etc which puts stress on the phone is used extensively. Similarly, there are apps which uses these resources even when you have closed it by running in the background which puts a strain on the system thus causing overloading. Now, as we aforementioned that your phone moves things (electrons) physically to do as said, it contributes to heat and that increases internal temperature.
If you are someone who loves multitasking and often complain about the phone getting overheat, its because the phone is overloaded and it generates more heat and once it crosses a critical temperature, it will start damaging the hardware components. The simple way to prevent it is to close the apps when not in use. You can force close an app by going to the “Settings >> Apps”. Another way around is to uninstall dormant or unused apps.
Keep the phone updated
This might seem unrelated but it is far more important to keep the phone updated than any other task. When the apps and the firmware aren’t updated, they introduce anomaly in form of bugs or viruses as they lack protection against such intruders. These bugs and viruses can target various aspect of your phone in which, harnessing apps or services and increase the processing and battery power requirement is one of the many issues that contribute to the overheating problem.
The simple quick fix is to update the apps from the Google Play Store. Similarly, you can check out if you have received any software update by going to the “Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update >> Check for updates”. Hopefully, these methods while preventing your phone from its overheating problem. Do let us know how it worked in the comments.
