Now again, the Chinese OEM has mentioned that Redmi Y2 will get Android Pie in this year. However, there is no confirmation about the release date. The MIUI 10.3.1.0 update is based on Android Oreo for Redmi Y2.

The update also fixes issues like ending calls taking longer than expected, call time bubble overlapping notification icons, face unlocks prompt taking longer to disappear, low battery icon missing in landscape mode and incorrect notification badges on WhatsApp. All of these bugs now fixed as confirmed by the brand.
