Note that this fix will work only if your TV’s red light turns on when you plug in the TV.
There will be a button at the bottom of the Hisense Roku TV. Pressing on it turns the TV off or on. So press it immediately and see if anything pops up on your screen. If it does not show anything, try cleaning the button area and try again.
Try the next solution if your Hisense Roku TV is still not turning on.
Check Power Supplies:
Ensure all your power supplies are working. If the voltage of your household has gone down, your TV might not be getting the wattage it requires to turn on. It could also be a fuse issue. Check the other appliances in your house that require a high amount of power and verify whether they are working fine or not. If they are also behaving abnormally, the problem is with the power supply. You need to call home an electrician and check everything in your house.
You can also call the local authorities responsible for providing electricity and ask whether there is an issue with the current supply.
If everything is working well regarding power supply, but you are still witnessing the issue, try the next solution.
Check the Wall Switch:
Over time, the contacts in a wall switch might get dusty or rusted. Again, the plastic or metal parts inside the wall switch may become loose and allow it to move around. This can prevent the power socket from connecting well with the contact points on your Haier TV’s power cable. To fix this, you need first to check your switch. Firstly, remove the faceplate from the wall switch. Then clean any debris or dust you see using a cloth. You need to turn off the power supply before trying all of it, as a simple mistake can get you electrocuted. After cleaning and tightening everything inside the wall switch, put the faceplate back and turn the power on.
If your TV is still not turning on, try the next solution.
Inspect The Display Cables:
The cable you are using to connect your TV to your set-top box must be working. Ensure the cable fits well at both ends with no gap between the port and the cable. Even the smallest gap can cause the TV not to turn on.
You also need to check the cable for any visible damage. If there is any tear in the cable or any part of it looks burnt, you need to change it. You can find such a cable in any electrical store near your house.
You have your solution if the TV turns on after changing the display cable. The display cable was indeed the culprit. But try the next solution if the TV does not turn on even after changing the cable.
Test the power cord:
Take out the power cord connecting the TV and the power socket. Now plug that cable into another TV or monitor. If it works well with the other devices, move on to the final solution. But you have your answer if it does not work with the other device. The power cable is the culprit. You can find a new power cable in any electrical store near your house. Trying out the new cable should solve the problem for you.
Disconnect All Connected Devices:
If you have several input devices connected to your TV, like a USB device or any console, try removing all of them. Remove all the items you might have had connected to your TV, and then turn off your TV entirely. After that, with all the accessories or devices disconnected, turn on the TV again.
Try the next solution if it still does not turn on.

- Once you locate it, press and hold it.
- The TV will initiate the hard reset process on its own.
- Once it turns on again, you will see the Hisense logo. You are required to press and hold the reset button till you actually see the Hisense logo on your screen.
If this does not work on your Hisense Roku TV as well, move on to the next solution.
Hisense Roku TV Turns On But Black Screen:
If your TV turns on, that is you see a blinking LED, but you only see a black screen even when you use a working remote, it could be a motherboard or backlight failure. You can fix this on your own, but you will need some repairing skills and replacement parts to do the job efficiently.
Usually, the backlight does not fail on a TV. In reality, the power board fails most of the time, resulting in the backlight not receiving the required power to turn on. Since checking the power board or backlight would require you to open up the TV’s chassis, you must be sure that it is indeed a backlight issue. And to check that, follow the instructions mentioned below.
- Turn on your TV.
- Get close to the TV screen and point your phone’s flashlight directly onto the TV screen.
- Change channels using the remote.
- If there is a backlight issue, you will see faint images on your TV screen that look like the screen is flickering. If that is the case, you can besuren that the backlight is at fault.
- As mentioned above, you can change the parts on your own. But we would advise you to contact a professional and get their help.
If none of the above solutions worked for you, the problem is with your TV’s hardware. In that case, you need to contact Hisense support.
