On April 1, 2024, Content Warning was released for free on Steam. There is no doubt that this has boosted its popularity, but fans are naturally interested in finding out if it will be coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch.
After the breakout success of the horror game, Fogelberg was asked if it would find a home on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. In the future, Fogelberg says, Landfall Publishing would love to bring Content Warning to consoles. But he says it’s too early to make such a big decision.
Is Content Warning Coming to Xbox & PS5
There is currently only a PC version of Content Warning available, and it seems likely that will never change. An official from Landfall Games answered that “it’s too early to say” about consoles when a question like this was asked recently on Steam’s community forums.
Although this may sound disappointing for console players looking to try out the game or simply play with their friends, we should keep in mind that Landfall Games is an indie studio, and it takes time and money to port a game to consoles.
They have already released one of their games on Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch, so you shouldn’t lose hope yet since Totally Accurate Battle Simulator was initially released exclusively on PC. It’s likely we’ll hear some news of a console port a lot sooner than expected with Content Warning’s popularity.
Is Content Warning Coming to PS4?
PS4 will not get Content Warning. No plans have been announced for the game to be ported over by Landfall Games. Nevertheless, it’s likely that the game will be ported to PS4 at some point in the future, similar to a future Xbox version. Currently, there is no information on when a version may be available.
