How To Fortify Your Base Or Building in Project Zomboid?

Your base will require you to barricade windows and doors no matter how you set it up. Project Zomboid requires you to build barricades for longer than usual in order to hold off interested zombies and prevent them from getting inside your base and cornering you.
A few items will help your barricade. Your first step will be to choose a material for the barricade. Metal sheets or bars can be used for a stronger defense instead of wood. You’ll need wood planks before you can start barricading before you can use wood. Here are a few ways to get them:
- Cut down a tree and make planks using an ax and a saw.
- Hammer and saw to disassemble furniture. They can be found in shops and warehouses.
After you have the materials, you’ll need some tools to construct the barricade. Two nails will be needed for each plank if you’re using wood. You’ll need eight nails if you cover an entire window with four planks.
Sometimes, you can buy a box of nails containing 100 nails, which is more than enough to barricade most windows and doors on bases. You’ll need
a welder mask and propane torch if you plan to cover windows with metal bars or sheets.
In addition to planks, nails, hammers, saws, welding masks, and propane torches are often seen in construction vehicles and warehouses around the world of Project Zomboid.
It makes no difference what materials you use to barricade a window. Select barricade from the right-click menu when you have the required resources and tools.
