Method 1: Instructions to Install via Recovery:

Download the latest firmware from the above update tracker section (if available).
Turn off your phone and enter the recovery mode by pressing the Power button +Volume UP button.
Once you have booted into the recovery mode, select apply update from sd card.
Locate the firmware file on your phone’s internal or external storage and select it.
The installation will begin.
Once the process is completed, your phone will reboot to put things into place.

Download the latest firmware from the above update tracker section (if available).
Download and install the latest ADB and Fastboot tools on your PC.
Move the downloaded firmware file to the same location where you have installed the ADB and Fastboot tools.
Enable Developer Options on your device.
You also need to enable the USB Debugging option on your phone under the Developer Options.
Now head to the ADB installed folder and open a command prompt on the same folder by pressing the Shift Key + Right Mouse Click.
Turn off your phone.
Reboot your Asus ROG Phone 5s into the recovery mode by pressing the Volume UP + Power button together.
You are now required to connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable. Make sure to use the original USB cable provided by the company to avoid any issues.
Enter the below command in the command prompt:
adb devices
The above command will show you all the connected devices to the PC. If you have followed all the steps carefully then, you will see your device serial number in the cmd.
Type in the below command to execute the firmware file:
adb sideload File_name.zip
(Here the “File_name” should be replaced with the file name of the firmware file that you have downloaded)
Wait until the installation process completes.
Once the installation is complete you can reboot your Asus ROG Phone 5s smartphone.
