Updated on April 29, 2020: Today HMD Global reported that the second wave for the Android 10 update has started hitting the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
Nokia has been one of the brands that came up with a dedicated roadmap for revealing its Android 10 update plans. Moreover, the company has stuck to its plans of upgrading its phone as per the roadmap. And in the past, a lot of Nokia phones have got the taste of the latest Android 10 update. And it seems like the Android 10 OS support by Nokia has extended to one more device, because as per the official tweet by the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, which is the parent company of Nokia, the Android 10 update is now officially rolling out for the Nokia 8 Sirocco phones.
To recall, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was released back in 2018 and it came with Android Oreo out of the box. The device was waiting for its last major OS update in the form of Android 10. And as per reports the update is now officially rolling out in batches. As per the community post by one of the staff members, the updates are dispatches in waves and the update will be rolled out to almost 50% of the Nokia 8 Sirocco by April 18th and the company aims to complete this Android 10 rollout process for the Nokia 8 Sirocco by April 20.

And users have started sharing the OTA update’s screenshots. As per one of the user shared screenshots, this Android 10 update arrives with the version number V5.120 and weighs in around 1.38 GB in size, which is pretty hefty, so a stable internet connection might be good to download this update. Along with all the Android 10 core features, this new update also tags the latest April 2020 security patchset.
